Sorin Kosz is Chief Executive of Impactum Media, the group's international digital media division, whose titles include Atlantico, Global South World, World Visualized and The World in Maps. He has spent more than thirty years in Romanian and Eastern European media, moving from television production into digital publishing and editorial leadership.
He began in 1994 as a cameraman at a local television station in Deva, and from 2001 was publisher of Pro TV's local news network, launching more than eight local newspapers across Romania. He went on to lead the newsrooms behind several of the country's largest news websites, taking Realitatea.net to first place in its market, building Digi24.ro for the Digi group and, as Editor-in-Chief, Digital at Pro TV from 2022, coordinating an online news operation that became the largest by reach in Romania. Within the Pro TV group's international operations he also worked with teams in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Slovenia and Bulgaria.
Since joining IMPACTUM Media in 2026, he has focused on turning the group's titles into a single integrated business, with shared infrastructure, artificial intelligence embedded in how the titles operate, and greater commercial discipline across the division. He is known for clarity and steadiness under pressure, particularly in a crisis and in fast-moving news cycles.
