Smaranda Heroiu leads the Office of the President at IMPACTUM Group. She has spent twenty years at the intersection of business, technology and diplomacy. Since 2016 she has led UPGRADE 100, a hybrid media platform and forum for debate on artificial intelligence, fintech and digital transformation, which is now one of the group's media titles.
Her work has followed the digital revolution and its effect on companies and brands since 2013. With the iCEEfest team she curated the festival's agenda, speakers and content themes, drawing on her research in digital transformation, fintech, the future of retail, innovation and the social sciences. She also manages one of Romania's most respected designer brands, and works with start-ups, non-governmental organisations and international organisations on product strategy, brand and ESG policy.
As a keynote speaker and panel moderator, she speaks on the future of humanity, artificial intelligence, gender in technology and digital behaviour, and helps organisations adapt to rapid technological change. She holds an MBA from the London School of Business and Finance, completed an executive programme at Harvard Kennedy School and studied at the Diplomatic School of Spain in Madrid. She works in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, and holds a degree in digital anthropology at University College London.
